Mary O'Neill
Mary "Tap" O'Neill was born and bred in Kinsale. Having grown up within the Pub business she is well known for her knowledge of local history and current events. Mary is proud of the "Tap Tavern" and the clientele it attracts. The environement that she has fostered is more of a family home where all are welcome than that of business. This is most evidenced by the fact that any night of the week you can stop in and find locals and holiday goers discussing the days events. |

Brian O'Neill
Brian is a different sort all together. Although he grew up in the same atmosphere as his mother Mary he rarely would give you the time of day. In Brians own words "Nah, I'm not interested in dat at all. That will be £2.50 please."
Most evenings Brian will arrive at the Tap Tavern around 11:00pm, call last round, and then after collecting money, feck everyone out the door. It's been said time and time again - "If it weren't for his nasty personality, he'd have no personality at all."

Tim O'Neill
Although Tim O'Neill enjoys an occasional pint of Smithwicks he tends to keep his distance from the business of the Tap Tavern. Tim is a metals craftsman and continues to trade in his workshop next door to the Tap Tavern. During the 1999 Christmas/New Years holidays the entire town was impressed by the light displays which Tim designed and constructed. The only thing Tim enjoys more than his work is "boules". The Tap Tavern has been home to the Tap Tavern Boules Club for over 15 years. The team has won many significant awards and continues to be a local force to be dealt with. |

Suzi & Cromwell
The family cats are an integral part of the Tap Tavern. Suzi is about 9 years old and is the mother of Cromwell the larger of the two. The cats are very comfortable with the crowd and often relax at the side of anyone who is friendly with them. If you want to stay in Mary O'Neills "Good Books" be nice to the cats. |

Elaine O'Shea

A friend of the family for years, everyone loves Elaine for her brilliant sense of humor. She has been part of the team at the Tap Tavern for well over 2 years now. You might recognise Elaine from the Harbour Tours on the "Spirit of Kinsale" where she greets and informs people from all over the world about Kinsale. |
